Sam Durrence was recently in the Mansion Entertainment recording studio working with producer George Hairr on a brand new album. Sam is known for his music success as a charting and touring Canadian Country Music artist on RCA Records Canada.
Sam began his career as a radio broadcaster & commercial spokesperson in Florida, later moving to Nashville after winning best male vocalist in a talent search. Among the celebrity judges was country music legend Loretta Lynn who invited Sam to Nashville to sing on WSM’s nationally broadcast Midnight Jamboree, encouraging him to pursue a career in music & entertainment. The Loretta Lynn media organization later placed Sam in the position of creative director for Coal Miners Music publishing.
Sam sang the theme song for independent Hollywood film “Steel Arena”, followed by an acting role in a CBS late night movie titled “UFO Target Earth”. He teamed up with British Rock musician Michael Steuart and purchased Audio Dimensions Studios in Memphis. Sam made a license agreement with RCA Canada, leading to three Juno awards for his productions, a half dozen top 10 charting songs, several music videos, numerous television appearances, including special guest hosting on TNN network and guest acting roles in Canadian TV dramas.
Sam was also a special projects consultant for international humanitarian organization Feed The Children and produced their national TV commercials for Canada featuring celebrity spokespersons Garth Brooks and Reba McEntire.
The new album is scheduled to be completed in 2018.
