The new self-titled, debut album by The Griffith Family is set to release on September 18th, 2015 by Mansion Entertainment through its Sony RED distribution relationship. The new 10 song project already contains one Singing News charting single from the group, “I’m Here Because Jesus Went There”, and the release of the album’s second radio single, “Doin’ Somethin’ For You”, will coincide with the release of the full album later this month.
The Griffith Family, comprised of the husband and wife team of Tony and Julie Griffith and vocalist Amber Smith, have a full time touring schedule with recent invitations being extended to perform at major events such as the South Carolina Songfest in Spartanburg, SC (Sept. 4-5) and the Showstreet Palace Theater at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN (October 18-19). Mansion label manager John Mathis commented, “Southern Gospel Music is still one of the few select genres where the artist excels as much or more by having great presence and performance in their live appearances. That can still bring more long term benefits for an artist than most marketing campaigns. We’re really fortunate to have some artists on board here at Mansion Entertainment like The Griffith Family. This group is experiencing an explosive response and following in their appearances and tour schedule just from what they’re doing every time they stand on a stage. The Griffith Family has a style that appeals to people’s musical tastes but they have way of sharing that is appealing to their hearts.”
